Flyback Annual Calendar Chronograph

The 5905R-010 is, in our view, one of the most underrated watches in Patek Philippe's current catalogue. The Calibre CH 28-520 QA 24H combines a flyback chronograph with an Annual Calendar — 402 parts, a vertical clutch, and a 60-minute counter — on a sunburst blue dial that remains remarkably balanced and easy to read despite its complexity. Day, date, month, and day/night indication sit cleanly in aperture displays; the rose gold faceted dauphine hands and applied baton markers give the dial a warmth that has to be seen in person. The 42mm rose gold case with scalloped lugs completes a watch that the market has largely overlooked. In our opinion, that will not last.
